The Dupont Mine is located in the Searchlight Mining District of Nevada.  It sits on the boundaries of the Ireteba Peaks Wilderness Area and the Lake Mohave area.  It’s rather easy to get to, as the dirt road (Rockefeller Mine Rd) is well maintained.  There are some parts of the road as you get closer to the mine that may require 4-wheel drive (due to deep sand).  The mine itself did produce some gold and silver, but it doesn’t appear to have produced in any large quantities.
