The Crystal Wash area of the Pahranagat Valley (Lincoln County, NV)  is a great area.  This area is filled with large boulders & water-carved narrows in the Hiko Mountain range, making for a fun time exploring the endless nooks & crevices.  It’s an almost alien-like landscape.  There are several petroglyphs, a few pictographs and other traces of prehistoric culture throughout.  As I was exploring an ancient village site, a single large raven followed my movements throughout.  It didn’t leave until I departed the site.

Beyond Crystal Wash, this area is loaded with ancient Native American rock art.  It’s most well-known for the Pahranagat Man style petroglyphs, which only occur in the Pahranagat Valley.  Click here to learn more about Pahranagat Man.
