The Dawn Mine can be accessed via the backroads from Goodsprings, NV.  There’s not much to see here, but is a good stopping point on the way to the Ninety Nine Mine and the TWA flight 3 Carole Lombard crash site.  They mined primarily Zinc, Lead and Silver at this location.  I found several tailings piles and 4 different shafts (only one had a bat gate).  There’s still plenty of miner “trash” laying around (old cans, pieces of pottery, etc.).
