Lotus mine was built upon the Keystone mine, founded by the famed Carl Mengel in the late 1800’s.  It was worked on & off for almost 100 hundred years and is located in Goler canyon of the Panamint Range.  Some of the rocks in this canyon have been dated to 1.8 billion years old.
