Rainbow Wells is an old mining site near a natural spring in the vast & awesome Mojave National Preserve.  There’s not much left at this site, after an illegal meth lab was found here in 1998 the location was pretty much “cleaned” by the authorities.  However, the spring area is nice and there are some very large, very dense old-growth Joshua trees, as well as the remnants of the mine and inhabitants.
