The North McCullough Range is a popular spot with the off-road community, shooters and hikers, due to its location just outside of Henderson, NV and Boulder City, NV.  There are several dry lakes in the area and a seemingly endless amount of off-road trails.  It’s not unusual to come across Jeep clubs, or groups of side-by-sde ATVs (Razrs, etc.).  This is also an active area for shooters, with many turnouts from the main trails for people to pull off and practice their shooting skills.   All throughout the range are many caves and basalt rock outcroppings, which are great areas to hunt for ancient rock art and signs of old habitation.  In the gallery below, I show a few of the petroglyphs and rock rings I’ve come across while exploring different “nooks & crannies.”
