Willow Springs, Petroglyph Wall, Lost Creek and the Children’s Discovery Trail are all located in the same general area of the Red Rock National Conservation Area (RRNCA).  These are all very easy spots to get to, accessible right off the main paved 13-mile scenic loop that goes through RRNCA.  Due to how easy these areas are to get to and being located within the very popular RRNCA, they can get crowded.  So, not the best place to go if you’re looking to avoid crowds.  But, a great place to introduce people to some rock art.  This area has a good diversity of ancient rock art:
— Pictographs, including hand prints of the ancient people
— Petroglyphs
— Agave roasting pits

Behind the Lost Creek picnic area is Rocky Gap Road, which is a fun & scenic dirt road you can take up into the La Madre Mountains.  And, like most areas in RRNCA, you can extend your hikes as far as you want and get off the beaten path from some of the heavily traversed trails.

The pictures in these galleries aren’t the best quality.  I didn’t have my main camera with me and had to rely on my iPhone.  Plus, it was raining and the moisture was messing with the camera.  I’ll go back and get some better pictures.
