Zabriskie Point is a dramatic landscape in Death Valley, part of the Amorgosa Range.  It’s been featured in lots of popular culture paintings, TV shows & movies, etc.  Perhaps, most famously on the cover of U2’s Joshua Tree album.  Zabriskie Point got its name from the General Manager of the nearby mining operation for Pacific Coast Borax mining company, Christian Brevoort Zabriskie.  There are several trails that branch out from Zabriskie point, for some light hiking.
