Pareidolia is a strange thing…our minds are programmed to see familiar shapes where nothing may exist.  This area in NV (near the UT & AZ border) I’m calling “Mojave Monuments…Easter Island in the Desert.”  All throughout this area are naturally carved red aztec sandstone “sculptures” that appear to be human heads.  Some of them are so lifelike that it’s uncanny.  It’s even more striking because this area is littered with ancient petroglyphs, pictographs, pottery sherds and ceremonial locations.  I’m convinced that due to these many monolithic-realistic-like “sculptures” that this place had to hold some significance to the ancients.
