Hiko Canyon is just east of Hiko, NV, located off HWY 318 in the Tonopah Basin.  Hiko was founded in the 1850’s, when prospectors arrived in search of silver.  Eventually, it grew to a few hundred residents.  Today, it’s mainly an agriculture (farming & ranching) area with no town left.  There are so few residents that it shows up on a couple of Nevada ghost town sites (even though there are some working ranches).  The only thing left of the original settlement is the cemetery.

Hiko Canyon has several ancient rock art sites located throughout.  You can take the main dirt road all the way through and connect to Crystal Wash, if you choose.
